Elena brings over 20 years’ leadership experience in international development. She has worked with a range of  International NGOs, consulting firms and universities, in six different countries, with expertise in environment, food security, social development and human rights.  She is an expert in innovation, strategy, organizational and program management in diverse, multicultural environments.

Passionate about personal growth, she has led a wide variety of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, supporting them in both their development and effectiveness.. Elena is a people centered leader, who enjoys coaching and mentoring. With the ever-changing nature of international development work, she is a dynamic challenge solver.

At present, Elena is professionally dedicated to coaching. She is a certified coach, specialized in executive coaching, change management, cross-cultural coaching, and mentoring. Elena has done peer coaching with KITE for WFP, and has co-facilitated an innovative professional development programme for WFP National Officers. She is also on KITE’s executive coaching roster for the UNSSC.  She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

She works as an internal coach in a Human Rights international organization, supporting her field colleagues around the world to find strategies to overcome their challenges and increase their social impact.

Elena is a qualified Engineer (MSc) in Farming, Food Industry and Environment, with a postgraduate diploma in rural development. She is certified as ACC Coach by International Coaching Federation (ICF), and Team Diagnostic Survey Practitioner (TDS).

Originally from Spain, Elena has lived and worked in different countries, including Morocco, Mali or Senegal. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and currently resides in France with her husband and their three children.
